What Planetrehab includes for a PT or OT clinic

Planetrehab is practice-management software for physical and occupational therapy. Clinics use it to run intake, treatment notes, billing, and patient follow-up in one place instead of moving the same visit through separate tools.

Who it is for

The software is built for outpatient PT and OT clinics. A single site can run the whole day from it, and a group with more than one location can keep scheduling, notes, and billing under the same clinic record. Front desk, therapists, and billing staff each see the part of the visit they are responsible for.

Planetrehab has supported therapy practices since 2000, and its billing services go back to 1995. The help center follows the same product areas you will see after you sign in.

Patient portal

Patients schedule visits, message their therapist, pay a bill, enter information, and upload documents. The front desk spends less time on calls for openings, insurance cards, and “what do I owe?” questions, because those tasks start in the portal and land on the patient record.

Treatment documentation

Therapists chart with AI or with therapy-specific templates. AI can locate details already stored for the patient and draft the note. Templates cover the daily notes, progress notes, and plans of care a PT or OT clinic writes every week. The treating therapist still reviews and signs the final note.

Remote Therapeutic Monitoring

RTM records therapy the patient completes at home and gives the clinic a way to bill for that work. Staff enroll the patient, review the activity for the monitoring period, and create the claim from the same billing screen used for in-clinic visits.

Billing, reminders, and reports

Revenue cycle management covers claim submission and the balances still outstanding. Email and text reminders go out before a visit so fewer appointments are missed. Reports show visits, charges, and unpaid balances for the date range you choose.
